Ms. Lucido has dedicated herself to working to protect workers' health and safety and is committed to the labor movement. Prior to coming to Worksafe, Ms. Lucido was an associate at the labor law firm Leonard Carder, LLP. At Leonard Carder, Ms. Lucido worked for unions and their members, and among other things fought disciplinary actions and unlawful transfers of work out of the bargaining unit in arbitrations. Ms. Lucido also litigated matters before the Public Employee Relations Board, the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in state and federal courts in California
Prior to working for Leonard Carder, Ms. Lucido was a law fellow in the AFL-CIO's Office of the General Counsel. While working in the General Counsel's Office, Ms. Lucido helped draft appellate briefs in cases before several US Circuit Courts and the Supreme Court regarding workers' rights to organize and picket and regarding First Amendment rights.
