Karen H. Kahn is a partner in the firm of Kahn Brown & Poore, LLP. She represented plaintiffs in asbestos litigation for eleven years. In 1991, she started her own firm representing plaintiffs in toxic tort claims. She handled her first mold exposure case in 1995 and since that time has primarily handled mold exposure cases on behalf of homeowners, tenants and plaintiffs in first party bad faith cases. Ms. Kahn is a sustaining member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, a member of Alameda County Trial Lawyer's Association, and the Alameda County Bar Association. Ms. Kahn has been interviewed on public radio and public television with regard to toxic mold claims. She was a speaker at the 41st Annual Convention of CAOC, speaking on the topic "Evaluating and Litigating a Mold Property Damage and Personal Injury Case". She has also been a panel participant in Continuing Education of the Bar and National Business Institute seminars. Ms. Kahn is the principal author of the CEB Action Guide on "Handling Mold Litigation in California" (2003).
